 "Message from the Valley"

Truckers; are you spreading the Word or just hauling the load?

Truckers most likely put on more over the road miles than any other vehicle out there. They have the greatest opportunity of anyone to witness to the world as they travel along. The trailers being hauled usually advertise the company name and/or logo that the trucker is hauling for, but mixed in with the millions of tractor trailers on the road, you will see some very interesting messages being displayed on trailers being pulled along. These usually belong to the owner operators, as they have a bit more flexibility to express their personal thoughts to the world on their own ‘big rigs‘.

The Christian trucker, when given the opportunity, will often display his love for the Lord on his trailer. They must be doing so with a thankful heart for the forgiveness of sins and the salvation he/she has received though accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior. They boldly, as they travel along, are showing continuous thanks to God and witnessing to others what God has done for them.

One of my favorites is  “TRUST IN GOD” written in big letters on both sides of the trailer. We salute this trucker who isn’t afraid to tell everywhere he goes where he puts his faith and trust.

There is the trucker that announces Jesus is the only way to Heaven.  “Jesus Saves” : John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Some truckers will paint the American flag on their grills, (Like Triple J Transport, PA)

others, the American flag is seen on the side panels of their doors or they will decorate their trailer with the same. Is there any doubt in your mind that these truckers truly believe in America ? 2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

There is the trucker that boldly proclaims the gospel message everywhere he goes:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

And don’t forget to watch for those mobile ministry centers available throughout the country from Transport for Christ! They are usually parked at familiar truck stops, but often new ones can be seen being hauled to destinations requested by truck stops around the country.

Next time you are on the road, pay attention to all those big rigs traveling to and fro and form your own ideas of the individual statements the drivers are making.
